Anime About Life is Completely Lifeless | Conception Anime Review

Conception is an anime that tries to be everything and ends up being nothing at all. In this review, I break down why this show is a complete waste of a unique premise and a total disappointment for anyone looking for a decent fantasy or romance. I went into this show blind and with no expectations, but I still walked away feeling like my time was insulted. From the "rituals" that lose their meaning to the "action" that happens almost entirely off-screen, Conception is a masterclass in how to fail at every genre you touch. We discuss the 12 maidens who feel more like a checklist than people, the star children who have no personality, and why even a show like High School DXD manages to tell a better story than this.
