At this point, the story has become so absurd that it was only a matter of time before somebody turned it into a musical. And somehow... it works. For those who haven't been following the saga, what began as an investigation into a missing LEGO collection has spiraled into one of the wildest internet rabbit holes in recent memory, involving allegations of corruption, police controversies, business disputes, leaked footage, arrests, and endless plot twists. Now Skyebrows has taken all of that insanity and transformed it into a parody song. The result is exactly what you'd expect: A ridiculous, over-the-top retelling of the LEGO saga that manages to be both hilarious and surprisingly catchy. One of the reasons parody works so well is because reality has already become stranger than fiction. The story has accumulated so many twists that a musical adaptation almost feels like the natural next step. What's particularly impressive is how internet culture can take a serious controversy and, without diminishing the underlying issues, create comedy that allows everyone to laugh at just how surreal the entire situation has become. In this reaction, I watch The Brick of Mormon, break down some of the references hidden throughout the song, and enjoy what may be one of the funniest fan creations to come out of the LEGO investigation community. Because when a controversy becomes complicated enough to require a musical recap, you know you've entered legendary internet territory.
