Langworth Level Crossing

When there are more level crossings that need filming than there are trains and one arrives somewhere to find that the next passenger train isn't due for nearly 2 hours, there is a problem. I was just considering what to do here when the barriers started lowering. There is a small oilfield in this area and between here and Reepham LC there are sidings for trains to transport the oil. In March a stolen car full of teenagers being chased by police crashed through the barriers and hit the house on the right (the one with the post box). The house was part of the station until it closed in 1965. In 2015 a similar oil train derailed and wagons overturned here due to the track buckling on a hot day. Network Rail were criticised for poor maintenance.
