DIY Veneer: Restore Your Mid-Century Modern Dresser

$40 👉🏼 $4,000?! I took a chance on this marketplace find, but phew it was in rough shape. Got out of my comfort zone by re-veneering the entire piece and giving it the works - ‪@MinwaxUSA‬ 3-step process!! 🥰#MinwaxPartner HOW I DID IT (list of supplies used https://go.shopmy.us/p-26197672 👇🏼👇🏼) cleaned + vacuumed (removing dirt/gunk helps reduce gumming on my sanding pads, therefore using less… and therefore decreasing cost of supplies) peeled off the chipping veneer sanded off the old finish on the veneer with 120 grit, scuff sanded the top laminate with 80 grit applied new veneer to every surface of this piece! applied @Minwaxusa Oil-Based Pre-Stain Wood Conditioner to prep the new veneer for stain applied @Minwaxusa Semi-Transparent Penetrating Stain in Early American sealed it with @Minwaxusa Fast Drying Oil-Based Polyurethane in Warm Satin. This stuff is my FAVORITE! I like to sand with a really high grit sandpaper between coats (400 grit!) for a flawless finish. I usually apply 2-3 coats total! installed new top drawer hardware What do you think!? I absolutely love this one.
