4k Hiking Alone in The Mount Pindo, Legendary Celtic Olympus, Searching for the Celtic Gods in Galicia
Mount Pindo is an incredible granite mountain that is located in Carnota (Coruña), facing the sea of Fisterra, the Galician Atlantic coast.
This mountain was considered a sacred place for the inhabitants of the area before the invasion of the Roman Empire.
Legend has it that the vertical rocks are spirits of Celtic heroes and druids who decided to turn into stone to stay on the mountain for all eternity.
The giant that we see at the end of the video is said to be one of the warriors who defended Lupa Queen (Wolf Queen), the queen who controlled the mountains at the end of the world (Finisterra-Finisterrae).
The Celts worshiped ancient gods and some of these gods are the following:
Lugus: Master of all arts and skills.
Sulis: Celtic solar deity.
Baraecus: God related to the Waters.
Noctiluca: Goddess of the Moon whom the Celtiberians worshiped on full moon nights.
Andera: Goddess of the Earth.
Adaegina: Goddess associated with the Underworld.
Iscallis: Goddess of Fertility and who we will talk about in future videos.
Without a doubt, Mount Pindo is a magical place, the first ascent is an experience that captures you.
