This episode is set after NWR Tales S3 Ep.12 'Mavis' Runaway' --- After Mavis' runaway, she was allowed to go beyond the top station but only if Toby is ill or busy elsewhere. One day, Toby was ill due to bad water and Mavis was to take the first stone train of the day and bring the workmen up to the quarry too.
