LAMU EAST EX MP FUMO URGES NCIC TO PROBE SENATOR JOHN METHU OVER REMARKS ON LAMU

Former Lamu East MP Mohamed Fumo has called on the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to investigate Nyandarua Senator John Methu over remarks concerning Lamu County and the proposed Dangote East African Oil Refinery investment. Methu, who serves as the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) Secretary-General, is heard in circulating footage describing Lamu as an extension of the Mount Kenya region, comments that Fumo has rejected, insisting that Lamu has its own identity, history, indigenous communities and political voice.
