WALES COAST KAYAK - NEWPORT TO FISHGUARD

This video is of our 12.5 miles kayak on the Wales Coast from Newport to Fishguard on the the 1 May 2025. The content includes information about: • Paddling the little known Nevern estuary • The quaint coastal town of Newport • Exploring the peninsular of Dinas Head • The amazing scenery along this part of the Pembrokeshire Coast • How the Hiqmar -eFin electric kayak motor performed during the trip, and • The historic port town of Fishguard This kayak on the Pembrokeshire Coast started with a trip up the Nevern and Estuary and back to Newport. We met David and we paddled out onto Newport Bay and down the coast. After a stop off at Cwm-Yr-Eglwys, we paddled around Dinas Head. After another brief stop at Pwllgwaelod where David left us, we carried on down the coast to Fishguard. Archie and I used a tandem Sandbanks Style Optimal inflatable kayak on this trip. David used a solo version of the Sandbanks Style Optimal inflatable kayak. We used a Hiqmar-eFin kayak motor which we have found has greatly extended the length of trips that we can do.
