Hestedalstjern - Kolknutefjellet

I parked at a road junction a couple of hundred metres past Langemyr and followed a logging road uphill for about 1 km. From there, the road turned into an overgrown trail through an old logging area. For the final 2 km towards Hestedalstjern there was no trail at all, so I had to navigate through the forest and terrain using the map. Hestedalstjern lies down in a ravine, and it wasn't really the most inviting place for a lunch break. Instead, I headed back to the small lake I passed earlier in the video, located at 627.5 metres above sea level according to Norgeskart.no. While having lunch, the clouds quickly started moving in, so the coffee break ended up being shorter than planned. A few hundred metres into the hike back down, the rain finally caught up with me. All in all, it was a great hike in the Kolknutefjell area. No other people, no noise – just the forest, the mountains and complete silence. Exactly the way I like it. One journey at a time.
