This year, Skytrax ranked Air Canada #17 among the world’s airlines, while Air Canada’s Signature Lounge at Toronto Pearson also received a 5-star rating. To be honest, I was a little skeptical about the ranking. So instead of judging Air Canada based on Skytrax, I decided to experience it myself and see what the airline is actually like. In this video, I fly Air Canada’s Boeing 777 Business Class from Toronto YYZ to London Heathrow LHR. I’ll take you through the entire experience, including check-in, security, the Maple Leaf Lounge, the Business Class seat, new bedding, amenity kit, dinner, snack basket, inflight service, and the Arrival Lounge at Heathrow. The biggest surprise on this flight was actually the crew and the service. It had been a long time since I experienced an Air Canada crew this good. That said, there were still a few things I wasn’t impressed with, including the new amenity kit and the foot space when sleeping in the 777 Business Class seat.
