Welcome to New Life Baptist Church! In today’s message, “The Parable of the Sower,” we study Matthew 13:3–9 and 18–23 and examine the different ways people respond to the gospel. Jesus describes four kinds of soil: hard, shallow, smothered and good. In the same way, our hearts can reject God’s Word, receive it only temporarily, allow life’s worries and comforts to choke it out, or embrace it and produce lasting fruit. The gospel will bring new life when gripped by a ready heart. What does the work of planting and growing require? 1. Fervent prayer 2. Faithful preaching 3.
