Kohler Courage Won’t Turn Over? Voltage Drop Test, Valve Adjustment & How We Found The REAL Issue

Today we check out a Cub Cadet riding mower with a Kohler Courage twin cylinder engine that won’t turn over properly and seems like it could have several different problems causing the issue In this video, we go through the full diagnostic process step by step instead of guessing and replacing parts We start by checking the battery, testing voltage drop on the negative side, positive side, solenoid, and starter wiring, and confirming the electrical side of the system is working the way it should. That allows us to rule out common issues like bad battery cables, poor grounds, excessive resistance, or a wiring problem From there, we move into the engine side of the diagnosis and show how to adjust the valves on both cylinders of this Kohler Courage engine We also install an upgraded valve cover setup so the covers can be serviced without having to use Permatex on the valve covers again Even after going through those repairs and checks, the mower still has the same hard cranking symptom That is what makes this one interesting.
