On the Kaas Plateau, the smallest flowers arrive after months of rain. Across the ancient laterite landscape of Maharashtra, tiny seasonal wildflowers emerge between wet rock, shallow pools, and fresh monsoon grass. From a distance they become thousands of delicate points of color beneath an enormous rain-filled sky. This episode of MONSOON ECHO — STORIES FROM INDIA follows Kaas through the late monsoon — from raindrops resting on individual petals to the moment the landscape opens into a vast plateau scattered with seasonal blooms. “The smallest flowers waited for the longest rain.” No gardens. No crowds. Just ancient rock, tiny wildflowers, moving clouds, and the last rains of the monsoon.
