Two hours and forty minutes of rain falling on one bamboo grove — from the mist before dawn until the rain stops. It begins quietly. Forty minutes of white mist between the stalks, with rain so fine you can only see it on the leaves. Then the rain arrives in earnest, striking the leaves and bouncing off the wet ground. By evening it thins to single drops, and low warm light breaks between the stalks. And then, in the last forty minutes, the rain stops. Only wet stalks, moonlight, and leaves moving in a faint wind. The bamboo, the moss and one old leaning stalk never change. Only the rain does. Gentle koto, shamisen and shakuhachi — sparse, slow and barely there — written to help you fall asleep. No people, no voices, no crowds — just one grove, and the rain around it. ▶ Chapters 00:00 🌫️ Morning Drizzle — mist between the stalks, rain you can only see on the leaves 40:30 🌧️ Heavy Rain — the grove filled with falling water, splashes on the wet ground 1:20:02 🍃 The Rain Eases — the last drops, and low evening light through the bamboo 1:59:44 🌙 After the Rain — the rain has stopped.
