“Stay Off My Firing Line” — She Fired Once, Then the Marine Gunny Saw Her Credential They thought Staff Sergeant Sera Holt was just a quiet military technician sent to inspect a faulty ballistic computer. Gunnery Sergeant Victor Crane mocked her experience and wanted her nowhere near his firing line—even as skilled Marine snipers mysteriously kept missing. Then Sera picked up a rifle. Ignoring the computer’s correction, she trusted her own wind reading and struck steel at 1,100 yards with a single shot. But her impossible shot was only the beginning. Behind her ordinary assignment was a secret identity, an investigation, and evidence of a calculated military sabotage operation targeting innocent Marines. When Sera finally revealed who she really was, Crane realized the “technician” he had underestimated had been documenting everything.
