Sometimes, the smallest moments from our childhood leave the biggest impact on us.
I grew up in Kakdwip, West Bengal, with my two brothers. One day, my mother couldn't find ₹10, and she suspected that one of us had taken it without telling her.
What followed is a childhood memory I still remember today. My elder brother was blamed for something he hadn't done, and eventually, we discovered what had really happened.
Growing up in a family where money was tight taught us that even ₹10 could matter. But this memory was about more than money. It was also about honesty, responsibility, and learning to ask before taking something that doesn't belong to you.
I'm sharing this personal childhood story because sometimes we understand the lessons from our childhood only when we grow older.
