In this video, I used cotton fabric that I dyed with avocado in the past and stitched it with Sashiko to make a cloth for my craft desk. The finished cloth measures 35 × 35 cm, with the Sashiko pattern measuring 32 × 32 cm. I started by drawing an 8 cm square grid. I then added diagonal lines in two directions, followed by a cross through the centre of each square. Finally, I drew two lines from the ends of the cross towards the corners of each square. You can also use a 4-inch square grid instead of an 8 cm grid. In that case, please cut the fabric to a suitable size. On Patreon, I share Sashiko patterns that you can trace and use. If you’re interested, please feel free to check them out there as well.
