搭火车环游中国的第41站，来到了内蒙古最现代化的城市——呼和浩特。星期六的上午去跳蚤市场淘旧货，晚上坐地铁去万象城逛逛时髦的店。这里佛寺遍布街巷，钟声阵阵回响，蒙、汉、藏、回等不同的文化在此互相影响，彼此难分。我能够清晰地感觉到这座正在快速发展的都市属于历史上不同的人群，属于草原，也属于黄河。 The 41st stop on my journey around China by train brought me to Hohhot, the most modern city in Inner Mongolia. On Saturday mornings, I browse flea markets for old treasures; in the evening, I take the subway to MixC and wander through its trendy shops. Buddhist temples are scattered throughout the city, their bells echoing through the streets. Mongolian, Han Chinese, Tibetan, and Hui cultures have all influenced one another here, becoming almost impossible to separate. As I explore this rapidly developing city, I can clearly feel that it belongs to the different peoples who have shaped its history.
