31st August / 1st September 1997 Diana, the Princess of Wales died in Paris on 31st August 1997. Later that day her body was repatriated to RAF Northolt. The BBC News channel, News 24, is a month away from launch so BBC 1 simulcast BBC World overnight. This VHS recording shows the top of a BBC World bulletin.
