The latest episode of the Artim film series features a monographic exhibition of Andrzej Wróblewski titled "In the First Person", organized by the Starak Family Foundation as part of the accompanying program for the 60th International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia. Curator Anna Muszyńska introduces the exhibition's concept, which aims to highlight Andrzej Wróblewski's work by presenting the most significant thematic threads of his oeuvre. Wojciech Grzybała underscores the timelessness of Wróblewski's pieces, noting their historical significance and poignant relevance for contemporary audiences. Andrzej Wróblewski, a painter, art historian, and critic, is regarded as one of the most prominent Polish artists of the second half of the 20th century. Since 1947, his paintings have primarily focused on the human condition, while he also explored experimental works, drawing inspiration from socialist realism and abstraction. His art reflects profound contemplation on human existence and fate, infused with a sense of drama shaped by his experiences during wartime.
