We join the absolutely fabulous NiNo Alicea and his crew as we go behind the scenes during Build Week at Burning Man. Through our short film, we aimed to highlight the side of Burning Man that most artists rarely discuss: The Build. For NiNo, it was crucial to portray the difficulties and struggles-the raw, unvarnished reality of Burning Man - that artists and their teams endure when bringing art to the playa. It’s in these moments- during dust storms, setbacks, and late-night planning - that people discover their strength, build resilience, and find connection. This is where real transformations happen: not just in the art they create, but during it's creation.
