I travelled by bike from Jaisalmer into the remote Thar Desert, to a small village located just around 15–17 km from the India–Pakistan border. In this video, I share a glimpse of the simple yet extremely challenging lifestyle of the people living in this harsh desert environment. Life in the desert is not easy. With scorching heat, limited water, and difficult living conditions, the villagers have adapted to a unique way of life. One of the most fascinating things I witnessed was how they collect water from a deep well using a camel. The water is then used for their daily needs, as well as for their goats, cows, and other livestock. I stayed in this desert village and experienced their traditional lifestyle, surrounded by camels, goats, cattle, sand dunes, and the vast desert landscape. This journey gave me a chance to understand how these communities survive and live in harmony with such a challenging environment.
