After you get every medal (must beat the final boss on epic) Death will stop blocking the way and the heroes can go to check the last area full of challenges (specially with the lvl 30 cap) The battles can be skipped because they dont have collision on the overworld. Its way easier starting a new save file on lower difficult or a new game+ without the level cap. Most of the foes are higher than level 30 and they can catch you off-guard.
