48 Hours in Udupi | meeting an old friend, coastal karnataka food & beach days

A little 48 hour escape to Udupi to meet an old friend, eat our way through coastal Karnataka, and just spend time together. We drove from Bangalore early in the morning and reached Udupi by afternoon, where I finally got to meet her daughter and honestly, we spent half the time laughing and playing with her. There was also our version of a party… aka sitting around, having drinks and talking for hours.. Of course, no Udupi trip is complete without food. We went to Mitra Samaj for some really good dosa, Machali for some of the best seafood, tried Mangalore buns (which they simply call buns there 😂), and explored a few beaches around Udupi. I also made pasta for my friend, because apparently I needed to contribute something to the food situation. And somewhere between all the food, beaches, drinks and catching up, I kept thinking about how strange and special old friendships are how you can go months or years without seeing someone and still somehow pick up exactly where you left off. So this vlog is a little bit of everything Udupi, coastal Karnataka food, beaches, old friendships, lots of laughing and a very short but very full 48 hours.
