Niagara is Renault's new pick-up truck built for Latin America. It opens the futuREady strategy's international offensive, which plans 14 new models for markets outside Europe by 2030. The vehicle blends the comfort and technology of a C-segment SUV with the toughness and versatility of a work-ready pick-up.
Strategic role
Niagara marks the start of Renault's international offensive under the futuREady plan, with 14 new models planned for international markets by 2030. Renault aims to generate half its global sales outside Europe by 2030 while raising electrified powertrains to 50% of the mix in those markets. Niagara, along with Kardian and Boreal, is central to renewing Renault's range in Latin America, and it rides on the RGMP pick-up platform.

Target markets
Niagara's three priority markets are Brazil, Argentina and Colombia, which represent most of its expected sales, with rollout to further Latin American countries planned later. The truck is aimed at buyers who want a vehicle for everyday life, leisure and business, reflecting the region's shift toward pick-ups as personal vehicles rather than purely work tools.
Design
The exterior follows large-pick-up design cues: an upright grille, a high muscular bonnet, full-LED headlamps with a welcome light sequence, and a black bumper with LED fog lights and a front skid plate for off-road protection. Body dimensions are 4.94 m long (4.91 m for the 4x2 version) and 1.72 m tall, with 17- or 18-inch wheels depending on version. The cab and load bed are integrated for a more unified body shape, the rear pillar hides the rear door handles, and "Niagara" is stamped into the tailgate metal. Roof bars and optional roll bars add practicality for carrying gear.
Interior and technology
The cabin focuses on comfort and connected tech, including the Open R Link system with Google Gemini integration, a Multi-Sense system, customisable mood lighting, and storage solutions in the console and behind the rear seats.
Powertrain and manufacturing
Niagara offers a range of powertrains and transmissions, with manual or automatic gearboxes and two- or four-wheel drive to suit varied uses across Latin America. It is assembled at the Santa Isabel plant in Argentina, making it the only pick-up in its class built locally in the region. A hybrid version based on the RGMP platform is planned for later.
Leadership quotes
Fabrice Cambolive (Chief Growth Officer, Renault Group) called Niagara the first pillar of the futuREady strategy and praised the teams who designed, engineered and built it entirely in Latin America. Laurens van den Acker (Chief Design Officer) described it as a lifestyle-oriented vehicle that goes beyond the traditional workhorse image, citing its rear space, storage solutions and SUV-level interior quality.
