Elevator Talk with IUEC Local 32

The Labor Forum team and WRFG audience learned all about the work of elevator constructors on Monday, Sept. 23 as the program continues to interview union members involved in the construction and building trades on the fourth Monday of each month. Jason Gray and Matt Stell provided lots of interesting information about the invention of the modern elevator and the skills required by those workers who install, maintain and repair them. Listeners were provided with the financial and personal benefits of being union-trained and employed with a union contract that puts safety first. Anyone interested in the apprenticeship program was encouraged to contact iueclocal32.org for more information. www.wrfglaborforum.org
