Mixing Floor Monitors - sound check - CQ18t

Monitors are the main way that musicians and singers hear themselves in each other. This video covers (1) routing the output of your mix to the monitors and (2) muting the main left/right so that you have a good handle on what exactly is coming out of each as you’re running sound check. A common challenge with mixing monitors is distinguishing them from the main left/right . That might sound like an obvious mistake, but if your main left/right is playing at the same time as you’re trying to adjust monitors, you will always misjudge how much to feed the musicians vs what to feed the audience.
