ENTRE MANOS - Raíces Vivas

En plena revolución digital las manos siguen siendo un vehículo imprescindible para relacionarnos con el mundo. No solo las usamos de forma funcional para manipular herramientas o crear objetos, sino que también recurrimos a ellas como medio expresivo, para comunicar emociones y sentimientos. Palmear, rasgar, silbar, golpear, sostener, estirar, trenzar, apretar, bordar, unir, girar, acariciar, moldear… la lista de acciones que nos vinculan a nuestro patrimonio inmaterial es larga. In the midst of the digital revolution, hands continue to be an essential vehicle for us to relate to the world. Clapping, tearing, whistling, knocking, holding, stretching, plaiting, squeezing, embroidering, joining, spinning, caressing, moulding... the list of actions that link us to our intangible heritage is long. But its richness lies in the thousand ways of combining them to achieve the most astonishing results. The project "Raíces vivas" (Living Roots), under the framework of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU, creates a new audiovisual archive on intangible heritage. The author, Juan Rayos, is a filmmaker and makes documentary work that draws on contemporary narrative, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and curated by Juanito Jones. El proyecto "Raíces vivas", con motivo de la Presidencia española del Consejo de la UE, crea un nuevo archivo audiovisual sobre patrimonio inmaterial.
