San Diego, California — Street Photography A city shaped by the ocean, its neighborhoods, its history, and the people moving through it every day. This collection is my observation of San Diego through street photography—the people, architecture, light, shadows, movement, and small unscripted moments I encountered while walking through the city. San Diego is one of California's oldest cities, with a history that reaches back long before California became a state. Today, its streets bring together historic architecture, modern development, coastal culture, military history, tourism, and communities influenced by its close connection to Mexico and the international border. From the historic Gaslamp Quarter and downtown streets to the waterfront and neighborhoods beyond, San Diego offers a constantly changing backdrop for observing everyday life. But as always, I'm interested in more than landmarks. I'm interested in the moments in between—the people passing one another, expressions and gestures, unexpected compositions, and ordinary scenes that become something different when light, timing, and circumstance come together. These photographs were made during my walks through San Diego, California.
