SM74 Extreme Edition Final Bowser Fight Savestateless

The third Bowser fight of SM74EE completed without savestates. Here are the star times and the dates I recorded them: 0:08 - The Top of the Zanctuary (4/6/15) 2:56 - The Final Showdown (4/6/15) Bowser throws…how do they work? The hardest part here, by far, was the frame perfect throw into the first bomb. The cannon skip isn’t that bad, especially if you do the last walljump the way I did. The slope jump at 1:36 was probably the hardest part of reaching the roof, and it’s much easier when you aren’t worried about losing a good red coin attempt. The boxes at the end are also surprisingly easy once you learn exactly how to do them. Then it’s just a matter of being careful and avoiding the flamethrowers! To clarify, everything after 0:08 was recorded in one segment, with no savestates whatsoever. I tried to keep the video moderately short, but I’m terrible at Bowser throws so that was a challenge. In the end I’m okay with going 3 for 6 on the throws, even if the fight could have been faster in other aspects. On one run I hit each of the first two bombs with my first throw, but then proceeded to miss the third bomb twice and die while setting up again. I’m also happy that I reached the pipe on my second attempt at the boxes: they aren’t that hard, but it can be easy to miss several attempts in a row. And that’s Super Mario 74 Extreme Edition :)
