#techno #jamsession #TR8s the original Roland TR-8 is my favourite drum machine. now i'm testing the updated tr-8s, which allows the use of custom samples and some other new features. this makes the new machine much more versatile. however there are some things i like better on the tr-8: 1. per step-effect triggers are much faster to program. 2. the scatter effect can be applied manually during the 2nd half of the bar with auto reset at the start of the next bar - a killer for quick breaks. 3. there is no menu-diving on the tr-8, which makes certain adjustments like instrument gain much quicker to reach on the fly 4. more dedicated effect control-knobs on the tr-8 (3 knobs for reverb + 3 knobs for delay) i really miss all those features on the tr-8s, that's why i keep the old one too.
