The BEARR Trust online talk with Oliver Bullough

On 20 October 2026, BEARR welcomed investigative journalist and award-winning author Oliver Bullough to discuss the themes arising from his latest book, ‘Everybody Loves Our Dollars’, and the global systems that allow illicit wealth to sustain corruption, kleptocracy and organised crime. Bullough has spent two decades tracing what happens to stolen money after it leaves its country of origin. His work has particular relevance to the countries in which BEARR operates – and to the UK, where much of this wealth ultimately arrives. Long-standing BEARR supporters may remember his excellent 2021 Summer Lecture, ‘The Londongrad Laundromat and its consequences’. This was a great chance to hear how his research has developed, five years on. BEARR is a small charity, and every donation makes a valuable contribution to our work.
