This was my version of bike touring and wild camping across the UK, no backup plan, just 10 days, 1,000 miles (1,600km), and a goal to ride around 100 miles a day and find somewhere to pitch each night. Sounds simple, right? It wasn’t. From tough weather to camping fails, this trip was full of surprises, especially before I even reached Scotland. This is the first episode in a 5-part series from an adventure that completely changed how I see cycling.
