On my way back home from Dubrovnik to Serbia, I took the scenic route through Trebinje and the heart of Herzegovina, and ended up witnessing some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the Balkans. This journey passes through parts of Bosnia & Herzegovina, including the stunning Sutjeska National Park, the iconic Tjentište Valley of Heroes monument, mountain lakes, dramatic peaks, and a small glimpse of one of the most beautiful hiking regions in the entire region. From peaceful roads through Herzegovina to the wild nature around Maglić and Trnovačko Lake, this drive turned into an unforgettable travel experience filled with history, mountains, and raw natural beauty.
