[MKW WR] Maple Treeway - 1:28.841

Special shoutout to ‪@TWD98‬ he made the mistake of saying something wont happen in Mario kart wii. Don't worry, many others have met the same fate. I want to give shoutouts to ‪@ray_2006‬ ‪@des2258‬ and ‪@freemntwins‬ Ray is my right hand man and just an overall goat at the game (he uses the wii wheel and is an incredibly talented one of a kind player) he also makes an appearance at the end. Des is the former WR holder on this track and really was the pioneer of the faster bump strategy (even though it was found by jcool) he gave me some mindset advice which significantly helped me. overall he was a great player and im glad to have my name next to his on the WR history for this track. Marcus is a newgen LEGEND who is currently 2nd ww on LC and really kept me motiviated to stick this through all the way to the end. Thank you to all 3 of you. I also want to give a mini shoutout to ‪@vincentn.9591‬ (even though hes been talking bad about me on discord). Without him realising he was very inspirational when in 2021, I watched him get his first WR taking down Logan on GV2 seeing a lesser known newer player like him take down someone like Logan had an effect on me that I cant describe. it made me want work really hard to take down Demon on this track to accomplish the same thing he did against Logan. I also HAVE to give a shoutout to ‪@RaFGuy‬ ive been watching his WRs my entire career and he was a big motivating factor to make me want to go for my own WR. Caleb, youre a mario kart wii icon. we miss you dearly. Shoutout to @zoren364 who is one the best mario kart glitchers of all time and he made the thumbnail. Lastly I want to give a shoutout to ‪@MKWBickbork‬ seeing him finally get what was rightfully his really was a big turning point in me locking in and making this WR happen. Ive been grinding for WR since around December 2025, everyday pouring 10-12 hour sessions working SO HARD. Just hoping. Just praying, that I would get the WR. 8 days ago Demon got his former WR of 1:31.461. Even though I was more than capable of beating it, (proved by this very run) it felt like WR was slipping through my fingers. Demon you really made me put in the work, I don't hate you for it I actually love you for it. You made this moment feel ever so much more special for me thank you. Ive been playing TTs for over 6 years (around June 2020) to set a WR has been something ive craved SO BAD, it felt SO AMAZING to get it with this run. With 3/3 clip glitch mind you. I genuinely couldn't be happier. As for the run, the lap 1 clip was very good with a fast snappy alignment. I slipped on the landing, which only loses around .1 (so no big deal really). The entry into lap 2 was very strong (it was a full fast entry). the next part however, is where disaster struck. I wasn't actually going for a 3/3 clip glitch, I was going for a 1/3 or a 2/3. (I had already made 2 2/3 clip glitches prior to this run) so I originally went for the benny strat. however I popped out of the ground so to save the run, I went for the clip and got it. The problem is that you burn a lot of time wedging yourself into the ground, almost a full second (compared to an instant clip lineup) anyway, I made the bump and persevered onto lap3. Entering lap 3 the entry was very dodgy, (it was a full fast entry) I had an alignment that I couldn't realistically attempt the benny strat with (without burning significant time) so what did I do? simple, I went for the clip AGAIN. to my absolute disbelief, I MADE IT. my heart was racing, my hands were jittery. I only had one goal. MAKE THE BUMP LAP 3. I focused with all my power and clutched it out. From there I went over the net, crossed the finish line. And the rest is history. As for future improvements, due to the 1 second time loss from the lap 2 clip glitch, this time is beatable with a 2/3. (albeit a VERY good 2/3) so Demon can take this back, it would be VERY difficult however since this WR, has SIGNIFICANTLY raised the standard for future WR's on this category. I wish Demon the best of luck on his attempts, (hes probably gonna need it with the nature of this track). Overall, I'm so happy to get my first WR and incredibly proud of myself for seeing it through for almost 9 months (this category is so unbelievably difficult to finish a run on). Will I get another 3/3? I honestly don't know. I certainly wont try to improve this with a 2/3. I am the only person to have ever hit 2/3 clip glitch back to back in a race and including this run, I have now achieved that feat 3 times, crazy right? I truly believe that this WR is the hardest thing ever done in this game. Thanks for watching.
