The moment turns deeply emotional when Bharathi Baskar speaks about the special bond between Pattimandram Raja and the legendary Solomon Pappaiah, who treated Raja like his own child. A special framed artwork featuring Solomon Pappaiah and Pattimandram Raja is presented to him, leaving both Raja and Bharathi Baskar overwhelmed with emotion. Raja recalls how Solomon Pappaiah used to take him along when receiving awards and shares how grateful he is for this honour and the heartfelt gift. Reflecting on their nearly 50-year association, he also expresses how much he misses his mentor. Bharathi Baskar and Raja look back on their days as opponents in Pattimandram, with Solomon Pappaiah serving as the judge. They also speak about his invaluable contribution to preserving the dignity of Pattimandram, including his principle that speakers should never resort to unethical or hurtful words just to earn applause. As they remember the man who shaped their journeys, both speakers take forward the responsibility of protecting Pattimandram’s values and carrying its legacy to future generations. Watch this touching tribute filled with gratitude, cherished memories, emotional moments and a promise to preserve the art of Pattimandram.
