Welcome to Paradise Lodge (a "superior residence for retired gentlefolk") where retirement is anything but restful! Life at Paradise Lodge is run under the firm eye of the long-suffering proprietor, Miss Milton (Charmian May). However, the real boss of the house is the formidable, loud-mouthed Flora Petty (Peggy Mount). Joined by her meek and easily led sidekick, Cissie Lupin (Pat Coombs), Flora spends her days hatching outrageous schemes, hijacking community events, and constantly thwarting the home's staff and fellow residents.
