Laura Suave - watch to the end for the 'battle of the Canarios'!

Laura Suave - Fabritio Caroso Dedicated to Madama Christina di Lorena de' Medici, Gran Duchessa di Toscana, the dance incorporates several styles and may be the first social dance to have been based on an Aria. It was very challenging to reconcile the dance with the music provided by Caroso in this work. We shortened some sections, to avoid too much repetition. We apologise for shaking the camera with our enthusiastic stamping during the Canario :D This dance formed part of our concert 'The Florentine Muse, Echoes of the Medici in the courts of Europe', at Trinity Uniting Church, Brighton, Victoria, Australia, November 2025.
