Fall asleep in ancient Egypt. Tonight we wander through everyday life beside the Nile: the yearly flood and the three seasons, a farmer's year, houses of mud brick, bread and beer, linen, wigs and kohl, children and their games, the scribe's school, markets without coins, the tomb-builders' village of Deir el-Medina, the workers who built the pyramids, temples and priests, the household gods Bes and Taweret, doctors and medicine, festival days, preparing for the afterlife, and finally a quiet night on the Nile.
Calm, slow narration for sleep, insomnia, relaxing, or studying. After the story ends, about 40 minutes of soft ambient sound continue, so nothing wakes you.
