Engel at TEMPLE OF DISHARMONY in March 2026 --- Pioneering Belgian heavy metal band Killer were originally formed in 1980 by guitarist and singer Paul “Shorty” Van Camp and drummer “Fat” Leo (who sadly passed away on February 13th, 2026). Prior to that, both had been active in a rock/blues formation named Mothers Of Track. The classic line-up of Killer was completed by guitarist Ivo “Spooky” Van Doren. Heavily influenced by the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal and Motörhead, the trio quickly gained a reputation for loud and aggressive heavy/speed metal and, along with Acid and Crossfire, became one of Belgium’s most successful bands. Signing a record deal with Mausoleum Records, Killer issued a string of classic albums in the early eighties – »Ready For Hell« (1980), »Wall Of Sound« (1982) and »Shock Waves« (1984) – before breaking up for the first time in 1987. A few re-unions and five more albums followed, the last one being »Hellfire« on HNE in 2023. And now it’s time for »The Grand Finale« – Killer’s very last studio album, soon to be unleashed via High Roller Records. Consisting of Paul “Shorty” Van Camp (guitars/vocals), Ian Anthony (bass) and Vanne (drums), Killer haven’t lost any of their punch. According to “Shorty” Van Camp, the album “is a dedication to Lemmy of Motörhead, who is one of our all-time heroes.” “»The Grand Finale« is a typical Killer album,” continues the guitarist and singer. “True old school metal referring back to our old days. The songs are very catchy, with strong refrains that everyone can sing along to after only a few listens. Simple but honest. And of course, flashing explosive guitar solos which are my specialty. This time I composed all music and lyrics on my own.” “One of my personal favourites on the album is ‘Welcome To The Real World’, which is a really typical and catchy Killer song,” continues Shorty. “I think the fast, Motörheadish songs will be much appreciated by the fans.” One of these songs heavily influenced by Motörhead is “Roll The Dice”, with Shorty singing a duet with Lloyd “Lemmy”, singer of a tribute band by the name of Motorheadz. On “What You See Is What You Get”, probably the fastest track on the album, Lloyd “Lemmy” is taking over lead vocals all on his own, and he does sound very close to Mister Kilmister indeed. “Lloyd did a fantastic job,” beams Van Camp. “And the lyrics are very real… We are no posers or false metallers, what you see is what you get, honest and true, to our music and to our lifestyle, without compromise.” MATTHIAS MADER --- ► KILLER Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?... ► KILLER Website: https://killer4you.be/index.html ► HIGH ROLLER Website: https://www.hrrecords.de ► HIGH ROLLER Facebook:   / hrrecords   ► HIGH ROLLER Instagram:   / highrollerrecordsofficial   ► HIGH ROLLER Bandcamp: https://highrollerrecords.bandcamp.com ► HIGH ROLLER YouTube:    / @highrollerrecordsofficial   ► HIGH ROLLER Soundcloud:   / high-roller-records-2   #killerband #highrollerrecords #heavymetal #belgianmetal
