Baguio Rush Hour: Long Jeepney Lines, So I Walked Home

Sometimes in Baguio, the line for a jeepney gets so long that walking home starts to look like the better option. This walk was filmed earlier today during rush hour, right around uwian time for students and workers. Jeepney terminals were filling up, lines were getting longer, and a lot of people were trying to make their way home at the same time. So rather than wait in a long queue, I decided to walk. Good thing it also happened to be golden hour. The afternoon light made the walk a lot nicer, and apparently I wasn't the only one who had the same idea. Along the way, you’ll see plenty of residents, students, and workers walking home or making their way through the city on foot. It’s one of those very Baguio moments where you’re reminded of the old saying: “Everywhere is walking distance if you have the time.” And on this particular afternoon, walking didn’t seem like such a bad option.
