Do you ever read the comments under a controversial post and believe that the narrative in those comments actually reflect the opinion of majority? What if it does not? In this episode of Gray podcast, we talked about online arguments, algorithms, comment sections, disagreement, trolling, fallacies and the strange way social media can distort what we think the public actually believes. And then we asked a harder question: what happens when this distorted online environment becomes dangerous for women? She is a trainee therapist at CPPD and a Student Member of BACP. She also holds a Pharm-D degree, received clinical training in blood disorders at NIBD, completed hospital pharmacy training at South City Hospital, and worked as a pharmacist in the Unit Dose Pharmacy at ChildLife Foundation's paediatric emergency. Alongside healthcare, she has worked as a photographer since 2012 and has hosted over 100 podcast conversations on patriarchal trauma, gender and social systems. M. Atif Ilyas is a chemical engineer with an M.Phil in Development Studies from LSE. After working at Descon, he chose to pursue education full-time. He now teaches O/A-Levels Chemistry, runs Chem-Pro, where thousands of students prepare for exams free of cost, and serves as Head of Academics at SenPi. He is also practicing as a trauma informed parent coach trained by Maryam Munir.
