A New Day - lyrics A new day is dawning, new life’s a-borning, Awake for the dawn is breaking! Prepare the way, the way of the Lord; The old prison walls are shaking! Wake to new life; wake and see The new world the Lord is making. So come join the feast; bring the lost and the least; Come shepherds and angels and kings! Glad tiding share of God’s love and care; While all God’s creation sings: Wake to new life; wake and see The new hope this child now brings! Then sing peace on earth for this ever-new birth; In our hearts prepare the way; Emmanuel, God with us to dwell, Be born in us today! Wake to new life; wake and see Great joy given the earth for always! Come follow the star, no matter how far Come follow the Spirit’s call To shine the light through darkness of night, The powers of death shall fall! Wake to new life; wake and see The victory Christ brings us all! Incarnate Love with us all!
