The Giant Lemur That Vanished From Madagascar | Extinct Or Alive S1 E6 | Animal Planet India

A mysterious red giant is said to roam the forests of Madagascar, drawing Forrest Galante, a wildlife biologist, deep into the island’s remote northern rainforests. His target is the Pachylemur, a giant lemur believed to have disappeared around 1,000 years ago. Local stories of a large red primate give Forrest reason to wonder if this extinct species could have survived in the canopy. As thermal drones and trail cameras uncover clues, Forrest climbs high into the trees to investigate a striking red primate. What he finds is not the Pachylemur, but a living relative that reveals an even more urgent mystery. Could this endangered red ruffed lemur be facing the same fate as its ancient ancestor?
