Upstairs it's like an Elizabethan or Medieval banquet hall. Its said a 'presence' has been felt in certain rooms and the ghost of highwayman Tom Hardy is said to frequent the bar. Hardy and believed to have used the three tuns as his headquarters, he is said to be an associate of legendary highwayman Dick Turpin, who visited Bungay in 1739.
