TRUMP BACKS PUTIN’s Peace Claim, Says Zelensky Rejects Deal, Pushes Ukraine Elections

U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of refusing opportunities to end the war with Russia and called for fresh elections in Ukraine, while claiming Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted a settlement. Speaking to reporters at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, Trump said Ukraine could have secured better terms by reaching an agreement two years ago. He also praised Russia’s agreement to increase diesel supplies to global markets, prompting concern from Kyiv that additional energy revenues could help finance Moscow’s military campaign. Meanwhile, U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner held talks with Ukrainian officials in Miami on proposals involving security guarantees and territorial arrangements. Trump also condemned a deadly attack on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport. Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation said 12 people, including an American citizen, were killed and 309 injured. The Saudi-led military coalition blamed Yemen’s Houthi movement for the strike, which the group had not immediately claimed responsibility for. Trump said Washington was considering whether to join Saudi military operations against the Houthis and planned to speak with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The developments come amid renewed fighting in Yemen and concerns about a wider regional confrontation. #trump, #zelensky, #putin, #ukraine, #russia, #russiaukrainewar, #ukrainewar, #peacetalks, #ukraineelections, #trumpnews, #worldnews, #breakingnews, #geopolitics, #russiandiesel, #saudiarabia, #riyadh, #airportattack, #houthis, #yemen, #middleeast, #saudiairstrikes, #usforeignpolicy, #internationalnews In this Times Now World News report, we break down the this topic: Stay connected with Times Now World for real-time global news and analysis: 🌐 Read full coverage: https://www.timesnownews.com/world 📱 Instagram:   / timesnow.world   🐦 Follow us on X: https://x.com/TimesNow_World #timesnowworld #worldnews #breakingnews
