Why Is Sendai Girls Suddenly Growing So Fast?

Sendai Girls is getting more attention. Bigger events. A growing audience. A YouTube documentary series reaching tens of thousands of subscribers. And one destination that keeps appearing again and again: Nippon Budokan. But no single thing explains what is happening. This story is about Chihiro Hashimoto, Reina Takano, the documentary series Senjo Tamashii, and the wrestling itself — and how all of those elements can turn attention into something more personal. A reason to care. Reina Takano offers one of the clearest examples. She once watched Sendai Girls from the crowd. After hearing Hashimoto speak about taking the promotion to Nippon Budokan, her desire to join Sendai Girls grew stronger. Later, she became a trainee. Then, on July 12, 2026, she made her professional wrestling debut. But a story alone is not enough. A camera can make a move mean more. It cannot make the move work. This is the story of how Sendai Girls is trying to turn attention into belief — while the road to Nippon Budokan remains unfinished. Sources used in this documentary include official Sendai Girls Pro-Wrestling records and blogs, interviews published by Shueisha Online, official profiles, and publicly available documentary material. PURORESU ARCHIVES documents the people, decisions, contradictions and stories that shaped Japanese professional wrestling.
