Summer Nights in Kamakura & Enoshima | Lanterns, Fireworks & a Magical Evening

Our journey begins at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, where we visit the traditional Bonbori Festival, one of Kamakura’s beloved summer events. As evening falls, the lanterns are gently lit one by one, illuminating the shrine grounds with a warm and peaceful glow. Each bonbori displays artwork or calligraphy, creating a uniquely beautiful atmosphere beneath the summer night sky. After enjoying the lantern-lit shrine, we stop by Parfaiteria Lilia for a relaxing evening treat — a beautifully prepared mango parfait and rich grape juice 🥭🍇 And then, another day... We return to Enoshima just before sunset. From the Enoshima Sea Candle, we watch the colors of the Shonan coast slowly change from sunset into night. In the distance, fireworks from Southern Beach Chigasaki begin to light up the summer sky 🎆 Watching them from afar feels peaceful and somehow nostalgic — bringing back memories of summers gone by. With the lingering glow of the fireworks behind us, we finish the evening at the Enoshima Lantern Festival.
