Trnasit Systems placed an order of 95 BYD BC12A06 buses with volgren optimus bodywork, as part of NSW Zero Emission Buses Program, to modernise bus depots with electric buses such as Leichhardt. These buses were built between late 2025 through to 2026, and are based at Leichhardt bus depot to replace buses such as the Mercedes Benz O500LE CNG buses and Scania L113CRL buses there, as well as possibly (??) standardising the fleet to BYD BC12A)6 and Custom Denning element 2.1s?
