Day two of our Iceland road trip! 🇮🇸
After spending our first day exploring the Golden Circle, we picked up our campervan adventure again in Hella and headed along Iceland's incredible South Coast towards Vík.
We stopped at some of Iceland's most iconic landscapes along the way, including Seljalandsfoss, the hidden-in-a-canyon Gljúfrabúi, Skógafoss, Kvernufoss, Sólheimajökull glacier, Dyrhólaey and the famous black sand beach of Reynisfjara.
From walking behind waterfalls and getting up close to a glacier to standing on one of Iceland's most dangerous beaches, this day was packed with some seriously unreal scenery.
We were lucky enough to have surprisingly calm conditions at Reynisfjara, but this beach is famous for its unpredictable sneaker waves. The coastline has also changed significantly in recent months due to powerful storms and coastal erosion, making the landscape look different from many older photos and videos.
If you're planning an Iceland road trip, travelling Iceland by campervan, or looking for the best stops along the South Coast, come along for the ride!
We're Two Out There, and we share our travel adventures through wild landscapes, road trips, mountains, oceans and wherever the next road takes us.
